LEOPARDA ELECTRIC
We are Leoparda Electric, a battery swapping network to electrify vehicles in Latin America.
The two largest challenges facing the world today are decarbonization and socio-economic inequality. Latin Americas vehicle fleet is still 99% gasoline powered; inequality is pervasive in the region. Leoparda Electric is building a battery swapping business to electrify the regions vehicles, starting with the 50 million motorcycles. We believe that a battery swapping model will not only accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles in the region, it will also put more money into the pocket of the users of these motorcycles because the total-cost-of-ownership is lower than a traditional gasoline powered bike.

THE ROLE
Leoparda Electric is looking for a hungry, passionate and well trained {Graduação} electrical engineer to work side-by-side with our launch team to build our {Charging equipment} battery swapping network in Latin America.
The objective of this role will be (i) start building the Leoparda battery swapping network the ground floor (ii) work side-by-side with our international engineering team to evaluate, test, scope and build our battery and charge station fleet.
You are an incredibly passionate and hungry electrical and/or mechanical engineer, interested in the electric light mobility ecosystem. You recognize that climate change is a massive threat to humanity, you want to dedicate your time to taking on this challenge.

Must have:
- Advanced English - You will be in daily contact with engineers the USA, Europe and LatAm;
- Electrical/Mechanical Engineering. Junior but also slightly more experienced (3-5 years);
- Previous experience with Lithium Ion Batteries.

Nice to have:
- Experience in design of battery packs;
- Development and execution of energy assets;
- Experience working with Contract Manufacturers (CMs) developing batteries to specs;
- Experience on testing for reliability, cooling, certification, safety purposes as well;
- Chemistry knowledge;
- BMS algorithms knowledge.
