All about the role:

Around the world and across many sites and sectors, our multi-disciplinary teams are proactively working to optimize manufacturing systems. Within the Group Manufacturing Engineering teams, you will find people who are focused on bringing digital transformation into the factory, always working towards continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing principles. It’s an exciting, wide-open environment in which to drive your own development!

What you'll do:

As a Group Manufacturing Engineer, you will drive and participate in Fabric Care projects within Latin America, contributing to the planning and implementation of manufacturing processes, automations and equipment. If you have a special attention for detail, an analytic mindset, and a passion for digital transformation, this is the perfect place for you to exercise your abilities and grow professionally! 

On detail, you will:

- Develop, optimize and prepare new generation of equipment, implementing IIoT; 
- Develop and implement functional tests for connected products; 
- Manage operational technology (OT) infrastructure and architecture on the shop floor factory; 
- Work closely with IT and digital manufacturing teams to ensure adherence to group guidelines and connectivity strategy;
- To work as regional reference for Group Manufacturing Engineering and Group Connectivity teams in automation/connectivity and IIoT matters. 

As part of the culture of continuous improvement, you will be involved in Lean Thinking projects and activities (EMS/C2W).

Who you are:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering (Mechatronic, Industrial, Electrical) or equivalent; 
- Experience with OPC UA is a strong plus; 
- Knowledge of industrial costs, project feasibility and business case elaboration;
- Knowledge of industrial equipment design and specifications, production engineering and automated assembly equipment processes;
- Knowledge of automation, programming, IT/OT hardware and software, PLCs and industrial network (communication machine-to-machine); 
- Knowledge of data analysis; 
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing; 
- Advanced Office skills; 
- Advanced English (Spanish is a plus).
