Fully funded Ph.D. position opening at the New Jersey Institute of Technology

There is a fully funded Ph.D. position opening in the Helen and John C. Hartmann Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT), starting on August 1, 2023.

We are looking for a student with a background in power systems. The student will work on an exciting project funded by the U.S. Department of Energy and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), looking into how to characterize the dynamics of inverter-based resources. The student will be part of an international, multidisciplinary team pursuing research on some of the most pressing challenges in integrating renewable energy sources into power grids. Our research facilities include a state-of-the-art test bench for hardware-in-the-loop simulation.

The New Jersey Institute of Technology sits in a vibrant, multicultural suburban area and is only 20-minute away by public transportation from New York City. NJIT is committed to a policy of nondiscrimination based on race, sex, sexual orientation, age, religion, ethnic origin, handicap, or veteran status in its employment policies, educational programs, and activities under university control.
