The EESC-USP AeroDesign Team was funded in 1998, and early in the beginning it encourage SAE Brazil to bring the AeroDesign competition to the country. The pioneers reached ther objective, and in 1999 it took place the I Competition SAE Brazil AeroDesign, which EESC-USP was champion of.

Since then, the members have been improving their work, adding knownledge and new technics after each project. On the whole, 41 aircrafts were designed, employed by the team in 42 participations in the AeroDesign competitions. Between them, there were 13 victories, what makes the team the world's biggest winner of SAE competitions.
